Based on your description I would suggest Hull.
This once-proud port is now ranked as the 2nd most socially deprived city in England, and has suffered very heavily from post-industrial decline and depopulation. The rate of unemployment is also extremely high - in all of England and Wales, Hull is ranked 354th (out of 376!) for employment.
Hull does buck the trend in terms of sporting performance however - its football (soccer) team has enjoyed a meteoric rise to success since its late 1990s nadir, and is now in the English Premier League.

If you live in a apartment thats located in upper east side of Manhattan the rent is costly: $1000-5000: on month on rent. Its very expensive and only the well off students, and adults live in that area. One bedroom apartments can go for: $350-$1000, yea pricey. thats why some new yorkers have room-mates.
Depending on if your apartment or townhouse is equiped with a washers and dryers, you will have to do your washing at a neighborhood laundry mat. But again: if their living in a town house or in manhattan (upper eastside) the apartments are equipped with washer\dryers.
Now you see on T.V. that new yorkers carry two brown paper bags of groceries. Not true, again their are grocery stores: Supermarkets, the better the neighborhood the better quality the foods are, and theirs a choice between paper and plastic. Most stores have plastic bags.
It depends on where the school is, in the city: New York City, so kids, walk 10-15 blocks (about 2-3 miles), some take th bus, others get on a train, while some kids are driven to school. It really depends on where the school is located.
Seperate neighborhoods? Well new york city has 5 boroughs. 1: Manhattan 2: Brooklyn 3: Queens 4: The Bronx 5: Staten Island.
Yes each borough, has its own store, malls, parks, etc. If you go to Manhattan Upper east side; you'll find the nicest malls, and grocery stores. In Brooklyn, its East Viilage, etc.

I don't live in NYC, so can't help you there. But have a reccomendation for the type you should get: Excel ($25-40) or Gambler (the red, round one; $25-30). They are both excellent. The best way to slice meat that thin is either to have the butcher do it for you, they will just select the cut of beef needed for the dish and they will gladly do this for you. Another option, is to slice the meat when it is only half thawed. Partially frozen meat is easier to slice. Good Luck.

I believe 120GB is the largest iPod classic comes in, which is $249. You do not get any kind of discount by purchasing it through the vending machines, but you can pay with your Macy's card or any major credit card . . . no cash. Be aware that if your merchandise does not come out or you want to return it, you will have to go through the vending machine company for these issues not through Macy's. The sales associates will not be able to help you with any problems that occur when you purchase through the machine.

Toshiba is probably the only ones that'll give you an additional extended warranty. I doubt compusa will because I know for a fact at officemax where I work we won't let you do it if it's been longer than 14 days. And the reason is that they don't want to sell you the warranty because there may be something already wrong with it. However, I know HP and Emachines offered extended warranties until the first warranty ended.

I think I know exactly which movie you're talking about ... either that or it's a movie with the exact same deal minus the coat.
Doris Day and Carey Grant in "That Touch of Mink". She is going for a job interview, standing on the street corner when he drives past in his limo (or rich-ish car with driver) and splashes muck on her.
She goes to the local food place, which her friend works at and supplies her with free food and complains about the jerk who splashed her. Meanwhile Grant feels vaguely guilty so he sends his worker (who enjoys the money he earns but hates that he's working for the 'man'), who gets slapped by Day's best friend because she thinks he's Cary inappropriately propositioning her.
